ETHER, Walking Together
ETHER, Walking Together was the inaugural exhibition of Gallery ETHER, held in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, in 2023. Four artists from different fields — Seo Seung-Jun (ceramics), Sang-youp (lacquerware), Kim Colin (photography) and Hong Jung-ouk (dimensional painting) — brought works of contrasting materials and textures into a single space where difference became harmony rather than conflict. Letting disparate elements settle into one balance, the show proposed art not as something distant or difficult but as something close to daily life, narrowing the distance between viewer and work. True to its name — walking slowly, together — it was the first statement of the direction ETHER would take.
ETHER, 함께 걷다
《ETHER, 함께 걷다》는 갤러리 이서의 개관전으로, 2023년 성수동에서 열렸다. 도예(서승준), 옻칠(상엽), 사진(킴콜린), 입체 회화(홍정욱) 등 서로 다른 분야의 4인이 모여, 각기 다른 재료와 질감의 작품이 한 공간에서 충돌 대신 조화를 이루는 공간예술을 선보였다. 이질적인 것들이 어우러져 하나의 균형을 이루는 이 전시는, 작품을 멀고 어려운 것이 아니라 일상 가까이 머무는 것으로 제안하며 관객과 작품 사이의 거리를 좁혔다. '서로 천천히 걷는다(尒徐, 이서)'는 이름의 뜻처럼, 이서가 앞으로 걸어갈 방향을 처음으로 보여준 자리였다.
